The house's description
Ispirato ai cassetti della sacrestia della basilica di Santa Rita da Cascia. “Salve Rita, vaso d'amore, sposa di Cristo dolorosa tu, dalle spine del Salvatore, bella nasci come una rosa”. Questa è la frase, scolpita come un saluto sulla trave centrale della facciata della basilica. Il ricordo olfattivo fa riferimento alla Santa, nel gennaio 1457, mentre era malata nella sua cella monastica di Cascia, chiese ad una cugina di portarle da Roccaporena una rosa della sua terra. La tradizione afferma che Dio esaudì questo desiderio e la parente di Rita poté raccogliere per lei una rosa sbocciata in inverno, tra la neve.
